Night Owls

Night Owls

Feature Film / Comedy

Some nights you collect debts. Some nights, they collect you.

On his first graveyard shift at a collections call center, a jittery ex-con (or near-ex-con) tries to keep it together. At the same time, a rigid script, “forbidden words,” and a crew of chaotic coworkers turn every call into a potential disaster.

Night Owls takes place inside the fluorescent hum of Union Bonded Credit. This cramped collection’s bullpen feels less like an office and more like a low-security facility with headsets. Frenchie, new to the job and one bad breath away from a full-body panic attack, is handed a laminated script: what to say, what never to say, and how to sound human while doing something inhuman. The calls roll in, each one more volatile than the last, and Frenchie learns fast that this job isn’t about money. It’s about control, compliance, and keeping your mouth
shut.

When a collection is about to go catastrophically wrong, Frenchie’s “first night” becomes a test of survival: stay on script, stay employed, stay sane… and don’t let the night swallow you whole.
